Mabel has been a family member close to 1 1/2 yrs now.
She is a gentle, loving dog. She loves to play & loves people.
Some of her activities she loves is ~
frisbees, basketballs, tug of war, chasing squirrels, bubble wands, garden hoses, and eating paper. ?
Most of all she loves to snuggle at the end of day. ?
Mabel is a very intelligent dog & displays that intelligence in a variety of ways in relating to my kids.
I have 2 young adults with multiple disabilities, both diverse in their behaviors. She has shown the ability to build a relationship with each of them.
I have worked with Mabel concerning the emotional and behavioral needs of my kids and she is showing great progress and willingness to learn.
Mabel is learning community social skills as well.
It was important to me that Mabel first got to know us and we Mabel.
As Mabel matures, I’d like to have her attend specific training that addresses safety for my kids ~doors, emergencies, pool alert etc.
It took 2 yrs for me to decide whether getting a dog would be good because of the dynamics in our home. But not a day goes by that I’m not so thankful to have Mabel and we love her to pieces. Mabel has blended into our family and has captured our hearts.
